It's no secret that Eunice Cervantes was going to play a hug role in Cigarroa's rotation this season. Last year, she was named District 30-5A's and Laredo Morning Times' All-City Blocker of the Year.Cervantes has utilized last year's success as a springboard for this season as she already has the Lady Toros on the right track early. The Lady Toros missed the postseason last year and it has been the main motivation for everything they do with this season. The 5-foot 10 hitter has been at the forefront as Cigarroa is 8-5 early in the season.
