Lower Rio Grande Valley growers, scouts, new scouts, consultants, and anyone wanting to learn about cotton and grain in the LRGV will have an opportunity to upgrade their skills at the Cotton and Grain Scouting School May 24 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service headquarters, 2401 E. Business 83, Weslaco, Texas. Registration begins at 10 AM and the meeting concludes at 2 PM. The first speaker is scheduled at 10:30, followed by lunch. Speakers and topics include, 'Plant Diagnostics 101: Recognizing and Making Sense of Plant Health Problems,' presented by Olufemi Alabi, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Weslaco.
