And the feisty 5-foot-11 middle blocker came out with some fire power in the season home opener against McAllen.Nunez controlled the net as she was instrumental in Alexander picking up a 3-1 (25-22, 25-19, 17-25, 26-24) victory over McAllen. Nunez came up with some huge blocks on defense halted any momentum McAllen tried to create in the first two sets. T The opening set was tight from the start, but once Alexander got rolling with senior setter Valeria Ortiz it was unstoppable -- jumping out to a 11-5 edge.
