Leighann Goode's present and future will clash at 4 p.m. Friday.That's when the Texas-signee will occupy the shortstop position at UT's McCombs Field as O'Connor faces El Paso Americas in a UIL Class 6A state semifinal. 'There's a lot of excitement that I get to play there before I even get there,' Goode said. 'So, I'm just really excited for the team to experience it.' Goode, who committed to Texas in September 2020 and signed with the Longhorns in November 2021, has never played a game at McCombs Field.
